The food here is always good. A bit pricey though. It is a family owned business with lasting quality. Nicely decorated and ambience. Great for large gatherings as well. Love their specials.

We dropped in at 9pm for a late dinner while traveling south and chose Vineyard's because of the reviews. Dipping sauce for bread was odd - olive tapenade in ranch dressing? Then we ordered a glass of the local parking lot red wine for $7...More
This has been the best restaurant in Madera for decades. However, the new menu is far too limited and has removed all my favorite dishes. Now I can't get my husband to come here anymore. It's sad that such a great legacy is being squandered. I've...More

Last visit during special hours on Mother's Day, great meal and service. Not usually open on Sundays but they were very busy, very good service, drinks (Lemon drop) and food.
The ambience is that of a friendly Italian steakhouse. It's neither, but we enjoyed the fresh produce and pasta used for our meals. The Vineyard offers a nice selection of wines and the separate room with the bar seems like a popular place to gather...More
This restaurant is a little gem in the Merced-Madera area. I have almond ranches in Chowchilla and fly into Merced 5-6 times a year. I enjoy this restaurant so much that I drive 35 miles to eat there. Try it, you'll like it. Great food,...More
We returned to The Vineyard after a year's absence and found it to be just as great as before -- interesting menu with well-prepared food and good service. Easily found just off the highway. A good place to stop en route to Yosemite from the...More
