Very nice atmosphere. Beautiful setting. Staff was excellent. Food was just ok. We expected more for the price ranges. Very expensive for what we had. May have been an off day.

I understand that some people call this place "A Total Rip Off" but I respectfully disagree. Yes, the prices are stratospheric and even tropospheric if you take the price quality relationship into account. And yes, each individual dish we had eaten better once in a much cheaper Chinese restaurant. But all in all we had a very good meal, great... More

Ate dinner on a Friday night. The place was empty at 8. Food was Asian style and interesting. Pricing is high - meal for two without liquor was 200. Experienced once but will not return.

We were a large party (20 people), everything had already been decided for us. Lots of appetizers just started coming to the table, nice and hot and full of flavor. The shrimp was excellent! Then came the main dishes, plenty to choose from and very tasty.

We got there sort of early, so it wasn't surprising that the place was empty. We got a place outside, which I was glad of, because it was better than the atmosphere inside. But, it still wasn't so great. It had nothing to look at! The outside patio filled up by the time we left. My companions enjoyed the meal,... More

I had been a while since I’d dined at Mr. Chow’s in Beverly Hills but I enjoyed it very much, so I didn’t even bother to check Trip Advisor before going to their Malibu location. Lesson learned. First impressions were good. I liked the white linen covered uniquely lit tables and the decor. Numerous members of the staff greeted us... More

We went on a Sunday evening and the restaurant was empty except for a couple of tables outside. We decided to also sit outside and the heaters made the cool evening feel very nice. The wait staff was amazing and our hostess was incredible. Yes it is very expensive and may or may not be worth it. It all depends... More

A rip off. Truly. Save some money and go to Pf Changs which is pretty bad too but you won't feel quite as ripped off. Service was adequate.

what a rip off. The price fixe is advertises as a cost per person. But when the bill comes they charge based on how many are at the table. The food has no flavor - what a disappointment.

My husband and I had been looking forward to trying the "famous" Mr. Chow. We are staying in Santa Monica, so we decided to try the Malibu location. Aside from the friendly waitstaff, I'd give the restaurant one star! Most importantly, it is completely overpriced, for the quality of the food. And, their pricing, with a "partial prix fixe" menu,... More
