In an area by the beach with many dining establishments, Casa Ado shines. The Grilled Spanish Octopus, was the best my wife and I ever had..cooked to perfection. I had the black ink tagliolini with clams and small lobster tails. Outstanding combination cooked again perfectly. My wife had the fruition di mare and they were very accomidating to sub the... Took my daughter on recommendation of local who dines there regularly. Had the special of the evening ... Carpaccio with Truffle Sauce ... Oddly, the meat was cooked but the dish was absolutely fabulous. I also had a linguine with clams that was very good. My daughter had the homemade Tagliatelle with Bolognese which was also excellent. Portions were a... More

We dined at Casa Ado two weeks ago. Delicious authentic Italian cuisine, with excellent professional wait staff. Very good selection of wines both by the glass and full bottles. We were a party of six, with individual tastes, and everyone was more than pleased with their choices. Excellent pastas, with innovative sauces (e.g., wild boar). Every detail (e.g., focaccia to... This is a place were locals hang out with live music. We had great drinks at the bar with appetizers. The bartender was very friendly and made great drinks. Food was great and overall had a great time.

This is one of the best restaurants in the area. The Calamari and the prociutto a great starter. If you like the spaghetti bolognese this is the place to eat it. The service from the manager Manuel is very awesome, very friendly and professional. He is always present checking that everything is ok with the meal. Congratulations!!! I think is... More

After a week in Newport Beach where the cuisine we experienced could best have been described as "voluminous" and uninspiring, we were pleasantly surprised to find Casa Ado at 12 Washington Boulevard Marina del Rey, an Italian restaurant that served quality food where size was not the guiding factor! My wife, daughter and I dined at Casa Ado on the... More

At the recommendation of someone in Marina del Rey, we went to this small, informal Italian restaurant for an early dinner, and were very pleased with the food and the friendly service. The Tagliatelle alla Bolongnese, which I have eaten many times in Italy, was perfect! The prices were reasonable. The casual nature of the restaurant fits well with the... More

Went here while on vacation. Enjoyed it thoroughly. The service was great, we sat down immediately, and the atmosphere very authentic. The homemade pasta was excellent - try the specials when you're there. You won't regret. We had the pappardelle with spinach and absolutely loved it. While Italian may not be on your agenda when in Venice, I'd suggest your... More

Staying in Venice

Neighbourhood Profile
Venice
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
