It's a neat little spot on a bay. Old, Funky feel with excellent picnic table eating and bar-b-ques. May people bring picnics and spend some time. The Oysters are fantastic and like the shrimp scene in Forrest Gump, "you can get your bar-b-qued osyters, pickled oysters, raw oysters, baked oysters..........." Very fun stop on your way to.....somewhere.

My daughter had picked out this place, and we were excited to book reservations as it was near our day trip to Point Reyes National Seashore. It's community seating, which was great as we met a nice family at our table. It's also on a bay, so be certain to pack a jacket in case the winds are up. The... More

A very fun, busy place to get the BEST fresh oysters. Great vibe, good drinks, friendly people. Lots of picnic space, and the view of the bay is to die for.

After a vigorous hike to the Tomales Point, we had a reservation for 6 for a Sat. brunch, on the 1st sunny day after several rainy ones. We sat at a community table with 2 other couples but we didn't mind. The view, the sun, the fresh air made for a wonderful experience. We started with a bubbly rose, Iron... More

We stoped by here on the way back from Napa Valley to San Francisco. We had heard about this place and wanted to try their oysters. They raise and harvest the oysters right in the bay. The oysters are small but they are real clean and real sweet. You can order oysters on the half shell or chargrilled. You can... More

It was a beautiful, sunny day. Slight breeze and hot sun. Combined with the staff (oh so pleasant) and the food....just another great day. Reservations are suggested, and i strongly advise making them as they fill up quickly. That being said, they always try and work-in people who just show up. The wait can be 20-30 minutes, but the atmosphere... More

We happened upon this oyster oasis on a recent road trip and it was an amazing experience. I would definitely make a reservation during busy times we were able to get 2 spots at a community table and that was a lot of fun. No better way to spend an afternoon than eating oysters with a cold beer or glass... More

Stopped by on the way back to SF so got a standing spot, reservations required for tables. The bbq oysters are the best we had in the week but we found the raw oysters quite bland - indeed the staff described them as 'sweet water oysters'. Wines by the glass just right for standing up next to a shack -... More

We stopped there on our way back home. I was close to 5:00PM and they were ready to close. We went to the counter where they served the to-go oysters. There, a friendly host explained we could get raw oysters but they would not chuck them. I always travel with my special oyster knife so .. no problem. We got... More

It's far away and with picnic sort of comfort, but it's an excellent excursion and well worth the trip. Remember to book well in advance as they do t answer the phone nor accept online bookings on the same day, if it's a busy sunny day. As soon as you are beyond the hostess, the service is fast, funny and... More
