We ate dinner here for a special wild mushroom and winemaker's dinner. Being a vegan restaurant, I was a little worried, but I needn't have been. All the courses were fantastic and perfectly cooked. The waitstaff was great, although a little stingy on the wine until asked. But the food is to die for and I would come back here... More
We're a mixed household. My husband is an omnivore. I'm vegan (for health reasons). We ate at the Ravens Restaurant two nights out of three while in Mendocino. (My husband suggested returning for dinner our last night, based on the quality of the meal we enjoyed at Ravens the first night.) We enjoyed breakfasts, afternoon tea and dinners at the... More
Not a vegan? This is your place to get introduced. No butter, no honey, no animal products at all...strictly creature compassion here! Creative, filling and wholesome. What more do you want! ;)
My wife's a vegetarian, and I made a reservation here because I knew she'd love it. I liked it, too. My sugar snap pea appetizer was spicy and delicious, as was my Thai curry maincourse. My wife had a phyllo vegetable thing that she loved. Nice ambiance, friendly service.
We stayed at the Stanford Inn for one night recently and had dinner and breakfast at Ravens Restaurant. I had very high hopes for the food as I'd been reading about it being one of the top vegan restaurants in the country for years. I was not disappointed! First off, the atmosphere is very romantic without being pretentious. We were... More
The food is delicious and creative, while also being healthy, what I call a win-win-win! my husband has had the breakfast Florentine and the waffles, both of which he loved. I have had the scrambled tofu and oatmeal. It wasn't the best tofu scramble I've had, but it was good. I love oatmeal for breakfast, and it was great. It... More
I think a non-vegan would enjoy this but perhaps not as much as we did. Everything is fresh and mostly home grown. For us, it was heaven.
Went for dinner on a Monday evening. Arrived early and went to bar for a glass of wine. Bar tender was barely able to leave his cool pose to greet or serve us. Had to go go to the host in the restaurant to process our credit card. Gave us round about directions to the garden- down the drive and... More
As a non-vegan travelling with a vegetarian, we quite often end up at restaurants that offer a reasonable attempt at accommodating our varied needs, so it was nice to dine at a true vegan establishment which pulls no punches with its menu. The range of food available should satisfy even the most demanding diner and I have no hesitation in... More
