We went to have breakfast at The Millbrae House of Pancakes and were pleasantly surprised. The decor is straight out of then 60's. We ordered omelettes which come with hash browns but also your choice of toast or pancakes. My wife got the buttermilk pancakes and I got the Swedish pancakes with lingonberry butter. Our server Maryanne was outstanding.always made sure our... More

I was not impressed with the food and the service was slow. Nothing exceptional about the place and I only ate there once.

I am a big fan and admirer of midcentury design. I stumbled on this place while on stopover for a plane out of SFO which is right next door. I could not believe how cool it is inside. It is right out of a Douglas Sirk movie circa 1955 or something. I am not talking bright colors, kooky angled midcentury... More

We stopped in for a quick breakfast before heading to San Francisco. We loved it! The food was great and the vibe was cool and a bit retro. I would recommend this place if you want a nice solid breakfast. I loved the Swedish pancakes!

Don't let the old building fool you, this place was Great. The staff was Very Friendly, the Food was Good and the portions was very large for one person to finish so like others who also were there we took out a left over box with us. I would recommend this place for everyone visitors and residence.

Came here for lunch with my sister and 2 nephews. I had the eggs florentine with hash browns and my sister had the chicken fried steak with hash browns which came with a side of 2 dinner plate sized fluffy pancakes. Busy place even on a Tuesday mid morning. Our server was attentive and quick with our food. The hash... More

We stopped here on a whim while on our way to SFO. Our daughter likes breakfast-for-dinner, so this was a good bet for finding something everyone would enjoy. This place has been open since 1959, and it's very "retro" in appearance. The menu is surprisingly big; there are the breakfast foods you'd expect from a pancake place, but there are... More

Been eating here for over 40 years. It never disappoints. Weekends can be crowded and expect a wait but the breakfasts especially are worth it. Great place for families. Very friendly servers and good food

Ate dinner here the other night, and wife and I both had omelets. Both were very good, came with hash browns and either pancakes or Swedish pancakes with lingonberry butter. Both of these were yummy too! We were pleased with the food and would come back. Cute older style restaurant, makes you feel like you are in an old lodge... More
