In the middle of a tourist district this is surprisingly good food. Had a great lunch of sandwiches, chicken wings and cheese sticks

We stopped to eat based upon raving review from a park volunteer. The food was fine, not awesome but decent. The bar counter looks to be made of redwood & is truly impressive! Don't bother with the cheesy garlic bread. The only cheese is some sprinkled on cheese. If you are hungry it will suffice.
Driving through the Avenue of the Giants (Redwoods) we needed to stop for some grub. Decided to go for it and give this little place a try. It's small, casual, and perfect for our needs today. Based on the appearance we weren't expecting a lot. My BLT was outstanding and I chose the salad as my side instead of fries.... More
We came here when nothing else was open in Garberville. Place seemed warm and friendly. Minestrone soup was excellent and we had high hopes for the entrees. There aren't a lot of places around this area so not a lot of choice. But the food is reasonably good cafe food. I had a burger and fries for lunch and a lasagna for dinner. Both were good. I had called the dinner order in advance for pickup but the person who took the order (a regular local customer... More
This a good place to eat, it's where the local eat. I like there breakfast The food is good standard fair. The service is good it's locally owned? It's a mile from the start of the avenue of the giants. Next to a very good full service market and gas staion
The food wasn't bad, but you really didn't have much to choose from. We were hungry so this was the closest place after seeing the giant redwoods
We had dinner here and it was fabulous! We both had calzones --one with lots of meat, one veggie -- and both were done to perfection. The staff was willing to turn the TV on so we could watch a baseball game. Good folks all around.
Heading to the Avenue of The Giants at around noon, my wife and I stopped for lunch in Miranda, and were delighted that we stumbled on the Avenue Cafe. Excellent sandwiches and good service. A nice outdoor seating area to enjoy on a warm day.
