Of course the food is a little overpriced but service was quick and food was tasty. We ordered a hamburger, garlic fries and a salad. Everything was well prepared. My only suggestion is to encourage the salad bar staff to be more friendly. It was very busy at lunch time but we found a table near a window. There are... More

I recommend bringing your own lunches and drinks. My husband spent 50 dollars on one slice of pizza, a burrito, and 2 drinks. Thank goodness I had packed a PB&J for my two toddlers :p

A bit pricey, but actually less than some museum-based cafes I've visited. The food islands were a bit chaotic when more than a few folks gathered because there was no guidance for queueing up. The place has wonderful bay views, and the conveniently located rest rooms were very clean. The fountain sodas are local brands and good, but I could... More

Taking the kids gives thjem a great educational e3xperience let them lead the way and take your time. I hope you get as excited as I did watching the kids be blown away with what the aquarium has to offer - eats a bit pricey plenty of shops to graze out side on the boardwalk

Don't let the expensive admission put you off this extraordinary experience. The Aquarium is a magical environment for children and adults alike. The exhibits are beautifully set up and I learned so much! I particularly loved the Jellies exhibit... event the cafe was excellent. Make sure to allow several hours because there's so much to see. Floor to ceiling tanks... More

Was peckish, so worked my way to the Cafe. Had a pizza (single size- $14 including tax) which was kinda thin, but took care of my hunger. Beautiful views of the Bay out large windows

The food was of a decent standard and a good choice for children. We were able to get a table by large window overlooking the ocean. However, the food was very expensive when you take into account how much we paid to get into the aquarium.

The café is Cafeteria style. You go to 3 different stations and get food. Salad station, they custom build salads for you12.99 for large salad with fresh organic ingredients, beats, seeds, legumes, tomatoes, cheese, etc. They also have soup, individual pizza 11.99, burgers and side dishes. Seating is challenging, you carry your tray to cashier while pushing a stroller or... More

After seeing all those fish swimming around, you can work up an appetite. So, keeping with the theme of sustainable use of the sea, the Aquarium Cafe offers many good options, and limits the plastic waste produced in the process. I found their salads and clam chowder bowls to be very good.

We arrived at the Monterey Bay Aquarium at about 11:00 for the afternoon, overall the Aquarium is pretty good, the best we have seen. The Aquarium Cafe is in the middle of the Aquarium, on the back side by the Otter Exhibit. The food prices are pretty expensive for a cafe, and didn't really see anything that we were overly...
