Definitely a local favorite, both eat in & take out crowd. Staff polite and efficient. Menu had a lot of different selections. The pizza was delicious. Veggie toppings fresh, sauce just right.Crust was perfect. Side salad was enough for 3 of us. A lot of different gelato flavors to choose from. I got the Espresso Bean.

We always stop at Gianni's when we are in Monterey. This time we ordered a Gianni Special and salad to go. The pizza was as good as we remembered from our last visit. The place was jumping with people. The staff at Giannis always remains cool and calm and delivers great service. People watching was a special attraction tonight. Love... More

I was craving a pizza the day before Big Sur, but cannot eat red sauce. Gianni's was the only place I could find in TA that mentioned an Alfredo Pie. Wow, it was amazing! The crust was perfect and they did not drown the pizza in sauce like many places. Well done, and I hope to return someday.

I lived in Pacific Grove in the mid-eighties and fell in love with Gianni's pizza. The sauce is neither too sweet or spicy, the high quality cheese and toppings are generous. I haven't been back in years but my memories were gratified. I ordered the 8" mi casa pizza and devoured most of it. the side salad was large enough... More

It's hard to find a place to eat for the entire family. The menu at Giannis is simple. We ordered a very specific sandwich for our youngest daughter, and when we got it we realized it was on sourdough bread ( doesn't specify in the menu), which she hates. The manager took the sandwich and remade it himself on bread... More

Take away order. Quite long messed up with the order but friendly and helpful staff. However food very disappointing. Extremely salty, non fresh basil thrown on pizza, linguini very average. Dough OK. Calzone poor at best. Would not come back.
