I was on my way to a different restaurant for dinner when I saw two empty chairs at Ryowa. I've been wanting to eat here for years but never wanted to wait too long for a seat. So, I couldn't pass on the opportunity and I'm so glad I didn't. The ramen is really tasty. I had the Tonkatsu ramen... More

Came here for lunch over the weekend. Place is small and get crowded quick. Ordered Ryowa ramen and fried chicken. Portion was pretty big. I wasn't sure what it was, but the broth tasted kind of strange. Not necessarily bad, just wasn't what I expect from Ramen, nor I could put my finger on what it was.

The place is nice with an interesting U shaped bar, which is unusual for a European eye. But there was only one waiter who clearly wasn't enough. Food was good and portions big. We had time to spend as we had a friends night out. If not for the conversation, we would've been bored and maybe even left as they... More

With the U- shaped bar this place looks like an authentic Japanese Ramen shop. The ramen was OK, nothing amazing nothing bad... Just average. The noodles were ok, not my favorite. The broth was ok, topping ok, everything was meh ok. I wouldn't go there again but I happened to be there and it was cold so it seemed like... More

I went with my husband and a friend during lunch. It was one of the best Ramen I've ever had. I had the butter corn ramen; it was perfectly seasoned and not too salty. They serve you tea and kimchi with lunch. My husband had the ramen/fried rice/gyoza combo and he really liked it as well. Can't wait to go... More

I've been here a couple of times. They were short-staffed in the kitchen and struggling to keep up with orders the one night that I went recently. That aside, I've had better ramen in SF. I like the counter seating, that it's a small "intimate" place, and the odd Japanese TV shows playing. The kimchee is good. It's worth going if... More

Go here for the Ramen , not for the ambiance - although it's pretty authentic. You sit at a counter (the stools are more like tall chairs, so reasonably comfortable) and help yourself to two varieties of kimchee. The Ramen noodles are firm and tasty, and the broths are excellent. Portions are generous! The Gyoza are also very good.

I come here about once a week. The pork fried rice is SO good and the ryowa ramen is awesome when you add the spicy green onion stuff thats in a jar on the table or bar. Fried chicken is good too. Other ramens that are good are the Miso and butter corn but the ryowa is the best one.... More

Group of us from work came for lunch to celebrate a birthday. They do not take reservations so we were a little nervous about this spontaneous excursion. Parking is relatively easy, considering it's downtown Mountain View, as there was street parking and also a lot next door. We walked in and the place is small but cosy and quite efficiently... More

This place is off of Castro in Mountain View tucked away on Villa. The place is tiny maybe with 20 seats with half in a Ushaped counter. The ramen noodles come out pretty quickly and turnover is pretty fast since there are several other ramen places around. However, this place used to be the only ramen to go in MV.... More
