This is by far one of the best wine bars in Nevada County. The service is superb and the food is top notch. Greg and Rona Cook have done a great job with keeping the resturant a favorite stop for locals and tourist. Music by the bar is an added attraction.

We went for our anniversary. Ordered calamari appetizer. Very tough. They took it off the menu. Our waitress made the trip to FT worth the trip. If you are looking for exceptional food....I would recommend other places to spend my money

Very pleasant atmosphere. Known for their cheese fondue. Have never been disappointed with my meal. I consider this to be a special occasion restaurant as pricing is a little over the average price in town. Walking distance to a wonderful live theater called Off Broad. It is such a fun night!

Wow. Has this place ever come back. We had been dining at Friar Tuck's for more than twenty years (before the original building burned down), and had always enjoyed our experience there. Until the last time we ate there, which was two years ago. After that disappointing experience, I wrote a three-star review. Back then, In my opinion, Friar Tuck's... More

Have been going to Friar Tuck's for about 25 years. However, the last time we visited (two years ago), the meal was under par as was the service and we were not sure we would dine there again. Happy to report it's back on track!

We arrived for dinner on Saturday night with no reservation we sat in the bar area in a booth very cosey our waiter was very nice and helpful, they had music in the bar area that added to our experience. It was recommend by the owner of our B & B so it seems popular with locals

One of our favorite eating places. Great food and good wine selection. We like to eat in the restaurant or the bar. (live music most weekend evenings) In the bar try the "bar salmon" with a salad. Best salmon around here.

Friar T's is a nice spot to just relax-well appointed and safe. They have live music on weekends. Their menu isn't very adventurous and the execution isn't special, but it's adequate.

Visited twice for dinner. Great atmosphere, great food and not too loud live music. Friendly staff. Had salmon and chicken piccata. Higher end prices but very good quality

We eat out often, and this is as good as it gets. There were 6 of us, and we all raved! I had the prime rib-Wow! My husband the duck, and he said he's never had better. The chicken Picatta excellent, and the Shrimp Tempura wonderful. I have never been to a restaurant where so many dishes were done to... More
