This was a place we'd been looking forward to visiting on our Route 66 trip. DON'T BOTHER! It's yet another Route 66 cafe resting on the laurels of its status. We went in and were totally ignored. I tried saying hello to the old guy,...More

Huge fun for those who've seen the movie. But wow, not the place to eat. Order taken by local geezer, a patron as no waiters present. He wanted to show us photos of his bit part in Erin Brockovich (Hinkley is nearby). Cook took forever,...More

If you have seen the film it is great fun to step into the real café, if not, you get a decent meal here and probably anice chat, too. We really enjoyed our short stop!

We saw the movie when it first came out and loved it, so we just had to stop by when we drove through the Mojave desert. It was also a major bonus that you could drive part of Route 66 to reach it. Very colorful,...More

Many years ago I watched the movie "Baghdad Cafe" and I was fascinated. The sweet magical movie has moved me greatly. On our way from Las Vegas to California, we stopped at the Cafe where the movie was shot. Following the movie, the restaurant has...More

We went with friends to check out this icon on Route 66 near Barstow, CA. Friends heard the pie was good--they had no pie. Asked about the ice cream on the menu, but there was no ice cream either. You can get a cup of...More
