If you're there for the first time, you might be overwhelmed and under appreciated by the locals. Just kick back and enjoy the super cold beer and the crap on the walls.

One of my favorite beach dive bars. (and I have been to many of them around the world.) Nothing fancy about it, but it represents old time Southern California. casual, cheap beer, good crowd, pool table, TV's, etc. Very cool. It looks like it has been there forever, and the rest of the neighborhood was simply built around it. You... More

A friend of mine suggested that we stop in this place to have a beer and the special sandwich. This place has been around since the beginning of time and it has a cult following. We weren't disappointed. It was a fun place to check out. It's a must visit in Newport Beach.

We stopped for lunch and we ordered wings, guacamole. And some appetizers. The wings were one of if not the best wings I have ever eaten. I'm from Buffalo ny and nj and have had wings from Anchor bar to pick a Lili bar in nj and these wings were better. Very impressed !!

This place is my favorite place to hang out after work. The locals are great and the bartenders are awesome. Cheap cold beer by the ocean what more could you want?

The beer is cold and comes fast. Good cocktails but the place could use a good cleaning. Lots of old locals hanging out having drinks

Take the ferry over, rent a bike, ride to Blackies and enjoy a few pops with a diverse clientele served by a bartender with some real chops. Skip the foofoo drinks, a beer and a shot will be best enjoyed here. A true dive bar can be measured by the availability of loose packs of smokes for sale, dust on... More

Classic bar right on the beach in Newport. I've been stopping in whenever I can for the past 20+ years, ever since we discovered it when we came out for a week to watch the Badgers in the 1994 Rose Bowl, and it hasn't changed much since then. I stopped in a couple weeks ago and some of the same... More

Cool dive bar, great low-key atmosphere and low cost alcohol. We went here for new years and got some great headbands and the staff was really sweet. There are some pool tables a swell which would be fun for groups...not much room for pool players at night though so think it would be somewhere fun during the day when its... More
