Living with smooth flowing arteries and veins proves your lacking in life's enjoyment. This place is NOT for you. The crab or shrimp is served on skewers on paper plates. Low overhead means good food at a reasonable price. Expect to wait because they don't...More

Local relatives took my wife and me to The Crab Cooker and I was really pleased by the casual vibe and the fishing paraphernalia on the walls. Our waitress wasn't very friendly and the food was only so so. The crusty bread was fantastic, served...More

"Don't Look Up Here" is the sign that sits atop the Crab Cooker. It's few words speak volumes about the sense of humor of its owner and prepares you for the informality and genuine friendly nature of the establishment. Make no mistake; this restaurant is...More

I love this place. When in Newport Beach it is a must stop, even if we just pick up smoked fish from the chiller. The tableware is so casual ie: paper plates, paper cups but the food is the best. Clam Chowder, Shrimp Cocktail. The...More

The Crab Cooker has been a staple for many decades. Paper cups and plates along with plastic silverware make things simple and a bit interesting. Table had both King Crab legs and Dungeness Crab along with several skewers of lobster tails. King Crab was so...More

No reservations. President Nixon had to wait in line, like everyone else, on his visit here. The wait out front on the benches is very much a part of the charm. Your opportunity to chat with locals and out of towners.

This is a true seafood restaurant. If it couldn't be caught in the ocean that day, it won't be on the menu.
