This was a nice place to eat, and beautiful marina scenery. The Brazilian dancers were fun to watch. My kids got a kick out of it.

If your wild about Brazilian food, that's ok, the specialties of the house are fish stews that are decent, just not sure they are worth the cost. So if you want to go, make sure the dancers are going to be there, because the show is worth going to watch.

A superb restaurant and dining experience, Moqueca could compete in much larger cities and still succeed. I sat near a woman from Brazil, who kept talking to her friend about how this place reminded her of home. Get the signature dish, served in a bubbling clay pot... It's sublime. Eating here is THE highlight of Oxnard, IMO.

Upstairs restaurant with view of boats And channel islands marina. Food is delicious. A place I've been back to you several times. Weekends are more fun because there is music and sometimes entertainment. I go for The Brazilians stew.... Definitely enough for two.... This is my choice for dinner when company comes.

This Brazilian restaurant exceeds expectations! Being used to the more meat-centric Brazilian restaurants it was so nice to eat in one that focused on fish, and very fresh fish at that. We had the Premium fish clay pot (the moqueca) which included fresh White Sea bass and loads of shrimp, enough food for three or even four people. We started... More

We ate here with friends recently and had a wonderful time They were regulars so pointed us in the direction of a wonderful pot fish dish to share which we did and enjoyed it very much. We had a plate of Calimari which was the best I had outside of Greece and some tasty spicy shrimp too. Everything was piping... More

So completely surprised! First off, the caipirinhas (sorry if spelled wrong- a Brazilian cocktail) are strong and delicious. The little ground meatballs appetizer - two of us loved, two of us thought were just ok - all of us were surprised to find them smaller than the menu's photo. We had the fish and shellfish moqueca - yes, comes to... More

Great Food and lots of it. Very generous portions. And, it overlooks the Channel Islands harbor. It is nice and quiet, so your guests can talk and not be over powered by canned music. The tables are neatly arranged in white tablecloths and brightly colored napkins.

I typically associate Brazilian cuisine with the hunk-of-meat-on-a-stick joints whose primary strength is based entirely on merits of grilled chunks of meat that is liberally sliced onto the diners' plates. However, this was very different than that. My waitress recommended one of the various moqueca (Brazilian stew) and I selected the fish, which was a mild white-fleshed fish. The moqueca... More
