I had dinner with friends here while we were in town for the Paribas Open. We had a drink in the bar while we waited for our table, they have an extensive list of tequilas and great margaritas. Our dinners were really good! I had carnitas and they were amongst the best I've ever had. The service was timely and... More

Unfortunately the restaurant we used to go to when we visit Palm Desert in the past was closed-out of business, so we did a quick search and found Guillermo's.Restaurante right around the corner. We love Mexican food and we were not disappointed. It was late afternoon so the place was quiet. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic.... More

Not your average Mexican restaurant. Shrimp wrapped in bacon and sole stuffed with shrimp, smoked tuna and octopus. Delicious combinations and great service. Dave is a most congenial host.

OK this is not your average Mexican restaurant. It is on the top end of price for sure but it is worth every penny. The selections here are like no other. There is a shrimp dish that we really look forward to eating when in the area. They take the shrimp and curve then into a good sized circle, then... More

We had a wonderful evening dining on fine Mexican food. The setting was pretty with excellent service and good guitar music to add to the atmosphere. We had drinks with guacamole with was fresh and my entree was delicious. The plate design was personalized.

Three for dinner, had to ask several times for the chips and salsa that should have followed drink orders! Salsa unique tomato base served somewhat warm but good. Margarita choices interesting, their Guillermo named version was tasty. My wife's shrimp dish was good, my adobada was disappointing with little flavor.

Had a business lunch at Guillermo's and I was very pleasantly surprised. I have been to every Mexican restaurant in the desert, and this one is right at the top. The food was very tasty, and since I like it hot, I asked for a hotter salsa. It fit the bill well. I was sweating by the time I finished... More

Since he knew I was going to LaQuinta to visit my dad, a friend recommended that we visit Guillermo's Restaurante while in town. We made a reservation to go on Friday night, since my brother and cousin would also be in town and my dad's 94th birthday was coming up. It was fairly crowded when we arrived at 6pm, but... More

The Camitas Michoacanas were piping hot, freshly seasoned, and cooked perfectly and my wife enjoyed her taco plate. We love restaurants that are not too noisy..we were in a small side room and the guitar player was not too loud. Our relaxed meal made up for the weather that prevented hiking today!
