Walked over here from our hotel because we'd heard about the guacamole and the margaritas. We sat on the patio to enjoy the sunset and the night air. We fully intended to order supper, but the guacamole and chips were so good we just kept ordering appetizers until we were full.

Had dinner at this restaurant as it was close to my lodging while in Palm Springs. I arrived and was immediately greeted and seated. The waitress was nice and the food was good. I had a 3 item combo, 2 tacos an enchiladas with rice and beans. Chips and salsa was good as well. I didn't have a cocktail. The... More

I started with the Cadillac margarita and ended with the stuffed poblano pepper for dinner. It was easy fast service. I would totally go back.

Good Mexican food at a reasonable price. Large margaritas. Had the shrimp ceviche appetizer which was delicious but bordered on being too spicy – don’t start eating it until your drink arrives. Entrée portions are a very generous size and are average in terms of taste.

We've been there twice during our winter stay and both times have been great. I think chili rellenos are often the mark of a good Mexican restaurant and Rio Azul passed with flying colors. All of our dishes were good. Service was excellent. Try the Cadillac Margaritas. The place is actually larger than it appears from outside with nice indoor,... More

We had House Margaritas which were very good and had Chicken Fajitas for two and they were very good, a lot of food so didn't need anything else. Great atmosphere and would recommend.

Went there for happy hour for the $8.50 or $10.50 margaritas depending on the size you get. Waitress kind of gave me the tip not to go with the Jalapeno margarita but their my favorite so I couldn't resist. In the end, she was right, it was a mediocre margarita and that's being generous. Most of the flavor came from... More

We arrived at Rio Azul for lunch after finding most other restaurants very busy during Modernism Week. It took a while to get seated. There was only one waitress working the whole restaurant. While we were seated another waitress arrived which helped. The chips and salsa were good. The salsa had a little bit of a kick to it which... More

Large menu with all the traditional Mexican items. Well prepared and a nice option from going to another fast food Mexican place. Enjoyed the service, flavors in the various preparations, and the drink specials during happy hour! I would highly recommend.

We make an annual trip to Palm Springs each winter. We have stopped in this venue on multiple occasions over the years. And, we returned this year - expecting the same level of food and service we've always had. Things have changed. Dramatically changed. And, not for the better. I ordered nachos. What I got was a sloppy droopy messy... More
