GREAT food, INCREDIBLE pie. We have been for pie many times and decided to try their breakfast. Huge portions, thin fluffy pancakes, HOMEMADE bread....what more can I say. The counter is the place to sit to truly enjoy this great diner. Of course, you must leave room after every meal here for the pie. Fresh, delicious and huge slices are... More

After seeing the premiere episode of Foodnetwork's show, "Top 5," in which Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian and Sunny Anderson named the top 5 burger eateries in the country, which included Pie n' Burger, we knew we had to go there! As we expected, the place was full, but the wait wasn't too long, and it was definitely worth it. The... More

Pies are great, atmosphere is like going back in time (a very good thing). Waiting is not a problem as there is a counter, try it, and just a few tables, but well worth it.

Both my husband and I had the burger, it was so big we could not finish it all. We both tried the potato salad and were really impressed as it is homemade. Also watched how the manager handled what could have been a problem and we were both impressed on how he handled the situation. A customer had came in... More

I've been coming here for over 15 years now every time I'm in Pasadena. It's a great local , no nonsense old fashioned lunch counter. I think it's the best burger in town . Very saucy . Pie's are superb especially the cream pies. If you love a bit of old school nostalgia stop by you won't be disappointed.

This place is exactly what you would imagine an old fashioned greasy burger diner to be in your mind. Their's a great nostalgia of the past at this place. They don't claim to do everything, they do a few things and they do them well. Their burgers are made to order and their shakes and pies are out of this... More

Was in Pasadena today on business and got hungry. Instantly, I thought "ooh... pie n' burger. Heard so much about it!" So I hightailed it over there and went inside. PROS Old joint, loaded with locals, very cool vibe friendly staff. CONS so I ordered a turkey burger on sourdough with grilled onions, cheddar cheese and everything. I guess the... More

It's a burger joint, but it needs updating. The wood paneling feels sticky with grease that hasn't been completely removed. Seating is tight, The revolving chairs at the counter were sized for people in 1940 not today. If you're lucky you can find one of the moveable chairs empty. Table space is small and crowded. You actually have more room... More
