I have eaten at Rosa's many times. The service is good in both the bar and food area. However, the food is not spectaular, but it is good and a value.

Rosa's only accepts reservations for groups of 6 or more. So, either get there early or very late! We got there just after 5 on a Friday evening and there were many tables available. We sat at a cozy corner table by the front window....More

Rosa's is where choose to go when we need a place for a good family dinner, where we take our own family for a relaxed atmosphere with good food at affordable price.

The restaurant does not accept reservations so we walked in and paid the price of a long wait. The wait was worth it, service and food was very good. We had pizza, pasta, chicken and egg plant.. we really enjoyed coming here. When we return...More

Walked in for dinner on a Friday night along with half of Pismo Beach. It seemed like the crowd was a normal occurrence there - the front of house staff was really hustling to get people checked in and seated, and to get tables cleaned...More

I choose Rosa's for my birthday dinner because I wanted an authentic Italian dinner with my family of six. Right from the beginning Rosa's disappointed us by seating us on the patio in uncomfortable plastic seats, at a round table designed to fit four people,...More

Food was exceptional (I'll never again think all marinara sauce is the same), service impeccable, atmosphere lovely. All this, despite how busy it was with families visiting Cal Poly. What more can one say? What a wonderful holiday experience.

A bit disappointing after reading some reviews and choosing this restaurant. It is a bit dated. Food OK maybe we went on an off day. Only stayed in Pismo one night so wasn't able to try it again.

Came for their osso bucco but the waiter said they only had enough for 4 orders today!! Why? Make more please. So we had the lamb shank which was good but the frutti di mari was the best dish. The broth was fantastic. Great service.

We had dinner at Rosa's, my spouse had pizza & clam chowder, I had their Tutto Mare: he got a good meal - the clam chowder was really good and the pizza okay, but the bottom was soggy. I got over-cook shell fish, overly chewy...More

Description
Rosa's Italian Restaurant in Pismo Beach, CA culminates 50 years of restaurant experience in regional Italian cuisine to create a family operated dining destination by the sea. The combination of Chef Doug MacMillan's Northern Italian cuisine apprenticeship with the Southern Italian family recipes he learned from his mother, Rosa, produces multiple award winning entrees with the freshest and finest quality ingredients. Classic and specialty Italian dishes such as Tortellini Con Quattro Formagio, Veal Piccata, and Pasta California will excite your taste buds and keep you returning time and time again. Our history begins with Rosa, whose journey to the Central Valley of California started in Avellino, Italy, located between Naples and the Mediterranean Sea. After moving to America and marrying Bill MacMillan, the two opened up their first restaurant in 1966. In 1988 when they moved the restaurant to Pismo Beach is when their son, Chef Doug, took over the kitchen. We are customer service oriented, and each of our dishes are made with the same care as if you were in our kitchen at home. In addition to a full menu for dine in a takeout, we offer a full bar with cocktails, beer, and an extensive wine list available to order by the glass and bottle. Our Happy Hour is Sunday through Thursday nights from 4PM - 6PM where we offer $2 off wells, cocktails, and drafts. Our professional staff is ready to welcome you. Come join us for fine Italian dining in a relaxed atmosphere and let us show you the tastes of Italy.
