Great food and friendly staff. Appears to be a popular restaurant so there was a queue out the door when we were leaving...however the food is worth getting in line for! Would be happy to eat here again. My only concern about this is that...More

We had dinner here due to the v good Trip Adviser rating. It was busy when we arrived (good sign) so we had a big crab salad appetiser and drink at the bar. The place has a good atmosphere. At our table we were served...More

Went here on a Wednesday night around 7:00 and had to wait about 20 minutes for a table for 2. There are some benches outside as I suspect there is usually a wait time for this somewhat small restaurant. We were eventually given a table...More

Well we probably made a mistake in what we ordered, but all the same we had a hit and miss lunch. Mostly misses. The best was the mussels and clam appetizer (mixed per our request) pictured. The broth was excellent and suggest saving the dense...More

This is our FAVORITE restaurant at the beach! Crab is always fresh and amazing! Service is stellar and other items are just as good, but don't go and eat anything but the crab. Buy extra too, because it is SO good! You will make it...More

I went the the Cracked Crab two nights in a row because I enjoyed my experience so much. The first night I had seafood pasta, crab bisque and a big sur. It was all very good especially the bisque and the beer. I wanted to...More

Small, quaint restaurant with super friendly staff. Not being a big seafood lover, I was a little skeptical about going for dinner. We were with our son and another couple. My husband and the other couple ordered two buckets of crab/shrimp, etc. My son and...More

Thought the food was good..the restaurant is a little noisy and we had some pretty loaded people seated at the next table...very loud...spilled drinks...dropped silverware...etc. so that was a little distracting. The waiter that we had was exceptional, great service!

We lived along the Chesapeake Bay for decades and learned to love "pickin" crabs. We have trouble finding places like that in CA but this is an excellent one. My wife was delighted to be able to have a very large crab to pick for...More

We got a bucket of crab that came with corn, potatoes and sausage too. A bit pricey, but it was good food and fun to just eat off of the butcher paper spread on the table. They don't take reservations so there is always a...More

We JUST ate there the day before yesterday, and yes, they did hand us a beer/wine list. You can also go to their website and email them and they will respond directly to you. This is a family-run business and they are very... More
We are planning a visit Saturday August 6 - how early do we need to get there for dinner so we do not have a real long wait - because we are driving to LA that night. Or would it be better to go on Thursday night - Aug 4 - we will be driving down and back to Cambria?

On a holiday weekend last year we had a 2 hour wait. But last weekend (on a Friday) we had virtually no wait at all coming in at 6:30 or so. We were surprised, but very happy based on our prior experiences and expectations.

You can see their entire menue online. Some things are pricey, like the clam bake, but other things are within average. It's one of my favorite places to eat. It's really a special place.
