Went here yesterday with family. The winner was the onion rings and tuna melt! Been here several times with a lot of meal choices when you have a crowd to feed. There is parking close enough for handicap and a nice view of the gazebo in park.
Arrived for breakfast at 9:35, sat ourselves as instructed.....had to ask for a menu. Took over 30 minutes to get our food once ordered (which also took a very long time). Seems if are a regular they treat you like family but if they don't know they really don't care. Watched one lady go to server to ask for more... More
Stopped in for breakfast with a friend. Service was excellent and food was good. Friend had an omelette and I had English muffins with tea. Both were served quickly and quality of food was very good. This place has been around for a while and continues to provide a quality experience.
This is a step back in time. The restaurant is in old Poway and the grounds have a train, restored cottages and a museum, most of which are only open on weekends. Every time I visit my friend who lives close by, I like to come here. Mr hey have great food and the atmosphere is fun.
A male employee was in the womens rest room with my 9 year old daughter. I watched him exit the ladies room seconds after my daughter. The manager FRANK treated us as if we were lying saying, "what do you want me to do about it?" and "he could have been in the mens room, I wasn't there". I WAS THERE, I WATCHED THIS WITH MY OWN EYES. A MALE EMPLOYEE WAS IN THE LADIES ROOM WITH MY 9 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER.
