Going back in time for ambience and flavour. Nice restaurant but average in taste. Could use some 'spicing' up to set it apart from the rest. Cost does not justify meal. Be mindful of location when comparing to similar restaurants.

This is a great place for any kind of celebratory dinner (or for any time, if you are well-heeled), with exceptionally well-cooked food and great service. Wife had the Sycamore Salad and Scottish Salmon, which was a very generous fillet and perfectly cooked with a...More

My wife and I celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary with dinner here. The food was superb and the service was equally superb. They even gave us a complimentary desert for our anniversary. This is not an inexpensive place but is well worth the price.

Arrived way too early for a friends Wedding,(driving up from south O.C.) so we cruised down the road and ran into this interesting establishment. It was a little after 5:00pm, so the lounge/bar area was wide open. Immediately felt the "old school" vibe of the...More

Local history is what brought me to The Sycamore Inn. It is located on the old L.A. to Santa Fe Spanish Trail (now Foothill Boulevard more or less). It eventually became known, of course, as Route 66. Famous (and infamous!) people of the past once...More

I"d say business casual. If you're eating on the porch, casual attire is more appropriate.
