How could I have never heard of this restaurant? It has a cute, corny atmosphere, the menu is big and diverse (Linguiça!!). We were seated right away to the back room. We were greeted by a very friendly waiter and ordered fairly quick. Then waited...More

Good stick to your ribs dinner. Chicken fried steak highly recommended. Turkey sandwich was good too. Attentive wait staff. Bear decor fun too.

Actually we were very disappointed with the diner given the good reviews it receives. The menu is way too big and takes half an hour to read. The portions were OK but very ordinary. The fish was old cod and was watery, and tasteless. The...More

This place is one giant menu of bad for you food. Tastes great though. I don’t like how they present the menu with a newspaper. Service is ok. This is your typical restaurant that attaches itself next to hotels so it’s gets a captive audience....More

Healthy options are definitely lacking here. Husband ordered clam chowder and a taco salad. Clam chowder was good, as for the taco salad....a better one can be found at Taco Bell. Should have known it could be iffy when they asked if he wanted ranch...More

Large portions of food but lacking in taste. Had the chicken pot pie and it had lots of chicken in it but just not enough taste to satisfy me. DH had beef ribs which were also just ok but not something he would order again....More

I’m not a breakfast person, so I gave my order to my hubby and ordered the Tri Tip sandwich with grilled onions & mushrooms - OMGoodness... very yummy. It had crunchy fries and citrus garnish. My husband really enjoyed the breakfast (2 eggs, 2 pancakes,...More

We went on a sunday morning and when the parking lot was packed we thought it was going to be a long wait. We were seated in less than 10 minutes. The service was good, the portion sizes large , and we really enjoyed our...More

I've been to Black Bear diner in Reno but this one deserves a review. The restaurant is HUGE, so it makes the wait time far less. The food is consistently well portioned, and you can't go wrong with anything on their breakfast menu. I got...More

This is located at West El Camino & El Centro, right off Hwy 80 W/B. It's probably less than 15 minutes from Sac Int. Airport. You would need to go 80 E/B & go I-5 north to get to the airport from the Diner. Hope this... More

As the capital of California, it will come as no surprise that our exciting city is filled with many places to eat. None of them, however, are quite as unique as the Black Bear Diner. Not only do we offer a collection of hearty dishes in a bear-themed, woodsy setting, we feature the very best staff of hosts, servers, cooks, and busboys. Our particular diner is also set apart from others thanks to a large, separate dining room that can be configured with dining tables and/or classroom tables to accommodate meetings and banquets. And thanks to our proximity to the Sacramento International Airport and being an in-between from the Bay Area to Reno and Tahoe, locals and travelers alike absolutely love us!
