I walked in the rain to this neighborhood bakery and found a limited selection of bread but very friendly employees. The sourdough round was not remarkable and I enjoyed the cannoli.

They win Best Of every year, but having grown up in family-owned bakeries I wasn't all that impressed with the selection, and the donut I bought was no better than any other fresh donut. Maybe the people who rave about the quality have never had anything but the half-stale pre-bagged factory donuts from the supermarket. I'd go again if I'm... More

Great breads and very good donuts. A real Sacramento heritage bakery. Carrot wedding cake 39 years ago!! Best hamburger and dinner rolls in Sacramento. Kind of funky little oldtime bakery.

As an Italian kid raised by two 1st generation Italians in Stockton this place has bread almost as good as the bakery I grew up at around the corner in Stockton Genova Bakery a historical place still in operation. The smell of the fresh baked bread sends shivers down my spine. The bread is a true Italian Style French Bread.... More

Everything is delicious, I can't even choose though I am partial to the coffee rings. The staff is pleasant and always very busy, but they take a minute to be very sweet to me each time. Everything is just like you remember as a kid, and they still do this. I am always happy to go here and always feel... More

This is not the best looking place i have ever been but the pastries are SUPER yummy!! They have items that are very unique and fun to try. The only thing that i didn't care for was the Pineapple Upside Down cake.

Place hasn't changed in decades - just like the ones your grandparents went to. Great selection of breads and pastries. It isn't publicized but most everything is half price after 1 pm which makes some great deals.

The bread is very very good. Love the Danish's, esp the old fashion Rasin Danish. Cakes could be more inspired. Pies are good. Half price on Sundays after one.....yeah!

New Roma simply has the best fresh baked soft Bolillo Rolls ever. These are a medium density soft white sandwich roll. I drive across town to buy these specific rolls to serve to my bike tour guests. I always get compliments. The bakery itself is nothing fancy...kind of a 50's corner bakery throwback with old metal and glass cases. They... More

I stopped by the other morning before work and just had to get something to eat, but when i discovered some of the pasties I decided to get some for my friends at work and everyone loved them. They were so yummy that I had to write this review.
