They used to have a great restaurant that was ran by the students. All I saw this time was a coffee shop type area with a few lonely leftover pastries in the case. The real thing here is they train chefs from all over. Check out the training venues/kitchens. Overwhelming!

My family and I were here for my daughter's graduation. After the commencement ceremony, the school served an international lunch buffet that blew us away. I especially enjoyed the skillet-grilled scallops that were cooked to perfection!

If you have the opportunity, stop by and take a walk up the grand staircase. When you enter the doors, you will be pleasantly surprised. It feels like visiting a museum and a culinary school where world class chefs are trained. I recommend visiting the store where you can purchase AMAZING culinary delights and supplies.

Housed in the historic Christian Brothers Winery, the Culinary Institute is a place to shop kitchen gadgets, exotic foods, cookbooks, or grab a bite. Deli sandwiches are made by the students fresh daily and are delicious. The Cubano was outstanding. Be sure to check out the chocolate case, sweets that are beautiful works of art. Such a great find.

My husband and I went to Napa for a weekend. He scheduled a cooking class for us at CIA (Culinary institute of America). My husband and I were blown away by the quality of the instructor and the classroom set to. There are cameras and screens that show what the chef is doing close up. We learned about coming eggs... Beautiful building to see and inside they have a nice display of items from the past set up like a mini museum. The store is incredible with many cooking utensil items.

Fabulous view of the napa valley, great little souvenir store, we didn't had a full meal but rather just nibbles and some gorgeous wine. Great spot to allows you to unwind and just enjoy the flavors and the landscape.

Gorgeous old winery, used to be Christian Brothers. It's a cooking school so you think ok I'm the tester, it could be good. Wrong. It was outstanding, creative, delicious!!! Go for lunch break from tasting.

Was great experience being at the CIA. Staff of chefs were great to work with and was fun being in the kitchen with them. Well run organization from my view as a guest. Nice campus and St. Helena is quaint town worth the stop.

Friendly, helpful staff. Unusual and hard-to-find cooking tools abound here. Lots of cake baking equipment. Small, but good, selection of books.
