The food is very fresh and made with very good ingredients. The prices are fair and very reasonable. This Sam Woo is one of the cleaner and nicer restaurants in the Sam Woo family of restaurants and has a good following. We have never been disappointed with the food.

If you go to traditional chinese restaurants don't expect american service. I don't think service is bad at all, they bring the food, they dont keep chatting with you and for me that is fine. Food was good.

I was disappointed at the lack of customer service at this restaurant. I witnessed the elderly woman at the take out blurt out obscene Chinese words about the patron to her coworker right in front of the woman paying for her food to go.. Witnessing such lack of integrity, set the tone for a distasteful evening of dining at the... More

My family and I went to have brunch one Sunday afternoon, San Gabriel(99 Ranch Plaza). The service was okay, typical Chinese, loud and rud e servers. I didn't go for the ambiance but for good food. Mind you this was my husband's favorite Chinese eatery! I asked for a few slices of lemon/limes, they said they didn't have any, how... More

8.24.2014 Dinner for 2. Overall decent food, fast turn-over despite lines out the door. The host spoke good English and was low-key and polite. Thumbs up for Sam Woo. The leg of roasted duck was delicious -- crispy crackling skin, moist, tender meat. It was served with plum sauce. A more complimentary dip would be a chillie-garlic-ginger sauce. The chef's... I would like to share my experience dining at Sam Woo BBQ this past winter. Both of me and my wife went there that afternoon as I used to dine in Sam Woo BBQ back in early 90's. When we were there, it was quite crowded that afternoon although it was past lunch time already. It was not really a... More

Sam Woo is well known for reasonable prices and tasty cooking. This is what attracted us to coming at this place. They have their lunch specials available everyday including weekends which is great. That's why we went. The only problem is that portions are really tiny and that's alright I guess. Their walnut shrimp although skimpy was good quality at... More

The lunch special is awesome and affordable. Lunch came with free drinks and soup. Love the BBQ food there. The togo section can be long during dinner time.

Ranges from the surprising to the dangerously Panda-Expressish.
