Slice of New York is the bomb. They sell whole pies and pizza by the slice. I prefer the slices because a) there are usually lots of variety, b) they put them back in the oven and crisp up the crust. The secret is in the sauce. I've eaten at several local pizzeries and for me aSONY has the tastiest... More

We moved to the South Bay from a smaller city so we are sort of fish out of the water here. We aren't super fancy and just want good food. This places pizza is amazing. Crust + sauce + toppings = perfection. I had the margarita and loved it. Then I had their cannoli and I wished I could eat... More

Postage stamp size place. Couple tables outside, a couple stools inside. Mostly take out business. The whole place is taken up by ovens and staff making pizza at various stages of the process. The place isn't swanky in the least but the pizza is. It's got that rare quality that it becomes like an addiction. If you don't get it... More

Hi James, Thanks for sharing. I have to admit that I qualify as a solid pizza enthusiast. It does get a bit sad for me on Mondays when a can't grab a slice.....because we are closed. See you soon! -Kirk Owner, A Slice of New York More

If you are from NYC you will enjoy. Perhaps the best pizza in California. Perhaps best pizza west of the Mississippi. Top notch.

First visit for me and a hungry teen. Busy place at 2pm on a hot Saturday. Will was friendly and talked us through the pizza options. We ordered a small (14") with four toppings, plus two drinks, for $27. Seating options inside or out. Pizza came in about 15 minutes, and as the teen said, "They don't skimp on toppings!"... More

Pizza was good, albeit a little on the high side, $ wise. Pretty authentic. Service is friendly and prompt; small setting so may want to take your order to go with limited indoor/outdoor seating.

Tasted exactly like pizza I used to eat in New York! Small restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Great service and friendly staff.

I love New York style pizza and you can never really find it outside NY. This place was about 90% close. Not perfect, but close enough. It's a tiny whole in the wall but who cares because it's all about the slices of pizza. Yum

Description
We are a NY pizza shop. We serve slices and whole pies. I moved out here from NYC back in 1998 and within a couple of months, I started talking about a pizza shop. I wasn’t going to leave my hi-tech job to do it, but when corporate life was no longer for me, A Slice of New York was born, September 2006. For a slice of home, come on in (limited seating and parking).
