Restaurants don’t last this long unless it is a good value and good food. OJ’s nails it. Large portions of good classic dishes. Good service but be prepared to wait at peak hours. Very popular restaurant.

We visited Original Joe’s in San Jose downtown situated next to Westin, at late night around 10 PM, for a casual dinner with some of the business associates. This is a large restaurant, and since it was late and was a weekday, there were not...More

It’s a throwback to the 1960’s, with red vinyl upholstered booths and attentive waiters in tuxedo jackets. Menu prices are in line with more high end fine dining, but food was well prepared and portions were generous.

A step back in time, Waiters wear black tux, service is number one and best of all is the food..It's a must do if you're traveling to San Jose.

First time I went to OJ's was in 1975; I was in the fourth grade. I still remember what I ordered. This place is ICONIC. The waiters and bartenders have been there for years, maybe decades. They, along with their salty attitudes, add to the...More

I happen to like the liver and onion and Joe’s is the only place I know and trust to do it right. I had it with a side of ravioli. Perfectly tasty combo. My friend had a Joe’s breakfast special. Some sort of ground chuck...More

Had a very pleasant dinner here before heading to the airport. Caesar salad & eggplant parmigiana were both delicious. Service was great, food arrived pretty quickly. Not a cheap dinner, but large portion sizes would be big enough to share!

Arrived at my hotel starved and looking for lunch. Just down the block I found original joes. I was quickly seated, that was the last friendly service I received. The waiter was surly. That is a polite way of describing him. He did not know...More

A San Jose classic. It has seen downtown San Jose in its glory years, its fall into the abyss of a suburb-driven burg to its rebirth with people and businesses moving back to the core. OJ's, as the natives call it, is the one constant....More

Contact the restaurant and ask directly. Also contact Morten’s Steak House. They have similar food and I believe a private room. I have had good meals and service at both restaurants.
