Have been to El Abeulo's as I call it several times now....it's in the neighborhood and serves authentic and tasty Mexican fare. Reasonably priced and friendly service. It's "no frills" dining - family friendly and also perfect for take out. Excellent salsa bar.

No tourist should ever be here. There is really no reason to waste your time and money going to san Jose, much less wandering off to seek out little out-of-the-way taquerias in San Jose. Having said that the food is pretty good and the prices fair. The staff is pretty friendly but sometimes there is a bit of a language... More

This is our neighborhood hideaway go-to place. If you like to find that "hole-in-the-wall", where you can eat true taqueria food - that's fresh and inexpensive, THIS is your place. Friendly staff and they're open fairly late. When we've been "projecting" all day and look like crapola... but we're starving... we know it's El Abuelo time!

This place does not pretend to be elegant. The food is fantastic and the service is great too. Tacos of all varieties, plus great enchiladas, burritos, and always look for the daily specials. Breakfast served all day if you're looking for a chorizo con huevos fix.

There's nothing fancy here. Bright lights, basic tables, counter service. But the prices are good, and the food is the real deal. All kinds of authentic tacqueria selections.
