I was visiting my friends and they made reservation to this place. Because I live in Milan for years and they want my options about this place. We ordered Baked Penne, Carbonara, Lasagna and Pollo Parmigiana. These are basic stuff if Italian restaurant cant make...More

We never miss a chance to come to Mama’s Meatball when we come up the coast. I know how much my husband loves this place, so I booked it for Valentine’s Day dinner. We were greeted by Patrick who always has a smilefor everyone. My...More

Took several colleagues here after a meeting. Setting was rustic Italian as usual. Ordered my usual, the Braciole. Still the best I have ever had! 2 of my peers ordered the same and were not disappointed. Lots of construction going on, so parking was a...More

Lovely restaurant. Small intimate setting. Service was good but food slow to come, but I have been to Italy and that is normal there. Pasta was cooked well and we all enjoyed our food. I had the pasta carbonara which was very rich. Moderate price.

I still maintain that this wonderful Italian restaurant is badly underserved by its name. Once you’ve gone here and know how good it is, you overlook the name. But, if you haven’t been here, rest assured that it’s not just a college pizza and spaghetti...More

Drove up to SLO for quiet New Years dinner. Lost reservation with CC hold. Nice baby greens salad then the worst seafood pescador ever just terrible. Dry sauce bland pasta frozen seafood packet ? Tasteless, we shared each other’s pain, not to ruin our evening...More

We loved dining at Mama's Meatball. Our server was excellent, the room is warm and inviting, and the food is delicious. We had chicken parmesan and lasagna, with a misto salad to start. Everything was perfect, and we appreciated the warm garlic rolls that preceded...More

I confess, I made a mistake. After moving to SLO five months ago, I waited too long to go here. I think I was put off by the name—"Mama's Meatball" doesn’t sound very classy (just "Mama's" would be much better). Add to that a very...More

My wife and I had dinner here on our trip to SLO. Both our meals were ok. To say more would be pushing it. Neither meal distinguished itself to be over the top. Would have liked to say it was better, but the meals just...More

I had overlooked this restaurant in the past because its name evoked a spaghetti with red sauce menu. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the upscale menu. The generous portion of garlic knots that came with each meal were delightful. I had the yellowtail special,...More

Mama's Meatball offers authentic, homemade Italian dining & catering, Our chef cultivates and harvest most of the organic produce to be used in our menu from our garden's rich soil. The idea of a garden in the city is fascinating and it allows us to keep in constant contact with nature while providing with a true Farm-to-Table experience. Furthermore, we are committed to preserve the land and its resources by providing agricultural produce, fishery and cattle livestock that adhere to strict sustainability practices. All poultry, fish, beef, and pork are sourced locally and must be, free range, organic, non-hormone treated. Just as Chef Nicola wants to pay respect to the culinary history of Italy, he is solid in his commitment to respect our land and water, with conscious usage of the resources available
