Even on Sunday night the jammed all weekend restaurants in this town where you can't find parking are jammed. We thought a nice meal out on a quiet Sunday would be nice, and when we were told a 45 minute wait at 630 we almost...More

We always pass by this restaurant but never made an effort to dine in so we finally tried it for one night. Luckily we made reservations prior to the designated time. People started to line up outside before the door opened. Avoid waiting for hours...More

Great beverages and tapas-type Japanese food. There's a diverse selections of Japanese sake and beer. You may select grilled entrees, sashimi or sushi rolls. All our recommended selections were very good. We were not disappointed. The servers were very helpful with their recommendations.

It was my first time there. It's not on the main street where most of the restaurants are in downtown San Mateo so I didn't know about it. The food and service were great!

Wanted a different Sunday lunch, friends told us about this place. They were right, it was a nice find. Not overly into heavy Japanese decor, spotless, excellent lunch "boxes" with great selection. Good service, nice place for family.

We stumbled into this little place by chance. It looked authentic and those waiting to get in, too. Having no clue what to order - besides the ramen - we went by the waitress suggestions. It was mind blowing! The look, the taste, I haven't...More
