Visited with two co-workers. Nautical design on both exterior and interior. Kind and attentive staff. We ordered a scallop and shrimp skewered entree as well as fish tacos and a tuna melt. I am not a seafood fan but all comments were positive around taste and quality. A bit pricy for me as it was about $20 per person for... More

I was looking for a seafood place in San Mateo. I am familiar with this restaurant name, because we had family dinner at the same group of restaurant in San Diego (Top of the Market restaurant). The food I ordered (angel hair and scallops) was delicious, and I got a table by the window, facing the lake. If only it... More

Our party of six had a wonderful time after a Sharks game with kind, efficient service of a variety of entrees for every taste. The drinks were well-prepared and my petrale sole was just delectable. We ordered sides of the brussel sprouts without the usual pancetta and everyone at the table agreed they were very tasty. We polished off two... More

This is a great restaurant in a great location. Large enough for big groups. The seafood selection is fantastic with a fresh seafood bar should you desire. In addition to the large seafood selection they have a wide variety of dishes to fit any palette. Highly recommended on a sunny day for lunch.

This restaurant is our favorite place for happy hour or dinner. The restaurant has tv at the bar area so people can watch their favorite sports while dining. The service is a little slow at times specially if they are really busy. If you're in a rush, try sitting and eating at the bar. We like the clam chowder, sweet... More

My first time here. My [elderly] father wanted some "real" clam chowder before he flew back to Melbourne, and I picked The Fish Market by location and reviews on Tripadvisor. We had a late lunch/early dinner, and were not disappointed. My father raved about the chowder, and finished every drop. I had the combination Fish & Chips, and while the... More

Fish Market has always been a great place to go. Yesterday we sat down early and the service was absolutely horrible! When the food arrived an hour later it was lukewarm and not that good! I don't know whats going on with this restaurant but I know i wont be going there for awhile!

Enjoyed a tasty lunch with my colleagues. We had 4 types of oysters, all of them fresh and delicious. They came with reddish and tomato sauce which made the oysters very special. For entree I had a perfectly made "Duckett's bucket" - mussels, clams and cockles - enjoyed every moment! The view from terrace is nice contributing to a pleasent... More
