Food was good but service was off. We were here on the Sunday night and the line was out the door which was not unusual. Once seated, our orders were taken quickly. When the food arrived, two of the four orders were incorrect. Upon their return with the 2 remaining orders, the spice levels were wrong but we didn't want... More

Here's an advice to my fellow TA reviewers...hang in there and wait in line to get a table, it's well worth the wait. One of the best Ramen's I've had in a long while. The noodles were done just right and the taste was superb. If I lived in the area, San Mateo, or even within driving distance I would... More

This place fills up fast but it's worth a wait for a table. They have a great Ramen selection and different levels of spiciness to choose from. Accompanying the Ramen are lots of side dish options and good Sapporo beer. Delicious. Two thumbs up.

Seven diners, almost all old friends, one a professional chef, a couple of foodies, plus another who values quantity -- we were all blown out of our minds. This place draws the crowds, has the wait/ordering/serving down to a science, and has the tastiest pork broth ever. It topped my go-to after one sip. My order came with half of... More

One of us had the Curry shrimp ramen and 2 of had the Lobster garlic pork ramen. There is no lobster in the ramen; not sure why it has that name unless they use lobster shells for the broth. The broth was very rich and flavorful. Probably the best we have had so far. We waited about an hour to... More

My GF brought me here due to its popularity. Few months ago, she and I ate at Dojo Ramen which was few blocks away. I wanted to make a comparison so we also came here. I had the classic Parlor Ramen with lobster garlic sauce. The sauce was quite rich. The serving was quite small. Nothing special about this place... More

I don't eat pork and didn't have the heart to tell my dining companion who raved about this place and brought me here. Pork ("Pieces", ground, even porky broth) is in all the ramen bowls, so if you keep kosher or Halal, stay away. My companion loved his ramen bowl, so big he took some of it home. I did... More

They offer their unique lobster based ramen in the first page of their menu. And of course you don't want to miss that taste. Moreover, you could customize your ramen by adding your own favorite veges and meat. Their desserts are well prepared too. Be there early enough so that you dont need to wait in a long line and... Get there early if you don't want to wait long. There's always a line. We were there at 11:20 and seated promptly at 11:30, eating ten minutes later. All the ramen is good .... Though Maru Ichi in mountain View is still better. Ask for an extra egg. Cooked to perfection.

There were a few ramen places in Mateo but I decided to go with this one and I am not disappointed! Long queue but it's worth it! Good portion of ramen and tried chicken karage too delicious. Will be back for next time around!
