Good salmon and tiramisu. Knew how to do crisp Romani salad. Different vibe and neighborhood than the downtown.

One of the best in San Mateo when Ron Luceti owned. Looks like new owners have a new chef (mistake). Still ok but not like it was. Parking hard to find. Prices have gone up.

Good food, fast service, good prices, nice people - what more could you want! This is not California cuisine, fusion or any other nouveau cooking. This is the place for all the classic and tasty Italian dishes you remember. It is a clearly a neighborhood favorite as it was crowd with people who all seemed to know one another -... More

This is the second time I have been to this place with my husband. I had the calamari steak which tasted like a breakfast omelet, seriously, it was like they dipped the calamari in egg and fried it... horrible.... my husband had chicken parmesan and said it was tasteless. 2nd bad meal, we won't be back

Attended an event with friends and had a great meal. We good great, attentive service. Had the ravioli's and they were delicious. Friends really enjoyed the sole. Our group took up most of the front dining room and were very comfortable. Will certainly return.

Had an excellent dinner at Luceti's. Started with onion soup that had good taste and lots of cheese. Main course was veal scalopine which was very tender and came with 2 vegetables. Service was also very good with bread being refilled as well as attention to clearing plates and refilling water.

This is an authentic type establishment that serves good and consistent Italian food, that seems to have a lot of local “regulars”. The waiters are older men who have worked there for years and do not have time to be very friendly. There is an “old fashioned” bar and the bar tender knows how to make an old fashioned drink!... We were staying down the Peninsula, but wanted to eat at a authentic Italian restaurant. Using the car GPS we went by four 'Italian' restaurants until we found Luceti's. The atmosphere was what we were looking for, a neighborhood hangout where most of the customers were regulars, and made for a friendly and welcoming feeling. Service was good, and the... More

What a disappointment, I believe the new owners have a lot to learn or they are not going to last. I took my wife for Mother's Day Brunch, we made reservations on open table and our table was ready when we arrived, hostess was very friendly and nice. We were seated and warm bread and waters were brought right over... More
