Nieman ranch burger, banana pancakes, steak and eggs, French toast, organic coffee. Everything was excellent. Prompt, efficient service. Will be back soon.

Meeting someone for a business breakfast you know you have a nostalgic outing ahead as they remember going to this place in their youth. Super solid corner storefront in a commuter town south of SF - parking was easy (note -- the parking meters actually need quarters). Waitress, like the cashier have worked here for much of their career but... More

The staff at Bay Watch is very friendly and this place is very accommodating for solo diners. Eggs and bacon were just ok, and the english muffin was barely run through the toaster. It was nearly empty when I arrived at 7:45, but started to fill up within a little while after that. The biggest problem for this place is... More

I go often. Large portions, The only place in downtown San Mateo for breakfast. I prefer the salads though since I am gluten free. The staff "gets" the gluten thing, though the menu has very little that is gluten free. Sandwiches, eggs, pancakes, potatoes, skillets, are all great.

For a reasonable and delicious brunch. There home fried potatoes are the best. All dishes are generous proportions. Be prepared to wait for seating on a busy weekend but well worth the wait. Service is friendly and polite. Seating is booth and table with a very crowded but not over crowded feel to the restaurant. Convenient location. A family favorite.

They serve very ample and not expensive breakfasts here. I've never been for lunch or dinner, but if the breakfast is any example, I'm sure the other meals are good as well. Good seating, very good service. I've been using it for business meals and you can actually talk at a normal volume and hear one another here - now... More

My wife and I ordered salads ( Cobb salad and Pecan Dijon salad) and we were both pleased. My friend ordered breakfast, which looked delicious. Generous portions and good service. You may have to circle around the block to find parking on the city streets so give yourself some extra time if you are on a tight schedule.

a solid and dependable breakfast place. we went for breakfast the day after mother's day and enjoyed a very nice, unrushed, uncrowded venue. i ordered the spanish scramble which was good - not quite enough chorizo for my taste, but it was good. instead of the potatoes, i requested fresh fruit which was fresh and tasty. the potatoes i don't... Convenient. Nice menu. The veg omelette is decent. Coffee is always hot. Service is good. Nice ambience. I usually visit once every three months of so. Simple, easy, tasty.
