At friends recommendation, we went there for lunch. The place was packed. We waited more than 30 minutes to be seated. We ordered fried tofu and oil stick. Both are good. We ordered bean soup, steamed Bau and beef tendon noodle. The beef tendon was not tender at all. Steam Bau is average. Looking back I probably should have ordered... More

Usually fill of Chinese, this local, small restaurant has fantastic food. Be sure to get the stashed soup dumplings. They are worth the time all by themselves...noodle dishes are also excellent...you won't be disappointed

Hard to find outside of the South Bay where the bulk of them seem to be. China bee is a nice find. Soy milk, dough fritters, beef noodles and other noodle dishes are great. Homely and family atmosphere.

Family run restaurant with not much atmosphere but quite good regional dishes. Service attentive and menu quite large, one side all Chinese the other side English. Dishes served hot and fresh from the kitchen as done.

This small, out of the way chinese restaurant is one of the best on the peninsula. The style is true 'home cooking', portions are good and the price reasonable. There is virtually no ambience, just good food. There steamed pork dumplings are fabulous. A true find.

There aren't that many authentic Taiwanese restaurants on peninsula. China bee is one of the very few. Not all dishes are done well but for the ones that they do well, they are really good. Their pork and bean curd stir fry is really good. Their pork chop rice plate is pretty good, too. They also serve traditional Taiwanese breakfast... More

I am probably a bit biased about this place because I love fried stinky tofu with all my heart so I was over the moon when I had it. The beef noodle soup was decent, worth a try. Overall my experience was very good, no complains.

This place is small and simple, but the food's quite good and the service is friendly. Great for Northern Chinese style breakfast or lunch -- they have hot soy milk (sweet or salted), potstickers and xiaolong (steamed pork) buns, as well as regular dishes. They also have something hard to find -- "stinky" tofu (fried tofu pieces) which is much... More

Small place in downtown San Mateo, wouldn't have thought to try from just walking by but some pretty good reviews drew me in. Food lived up to the reviews, tried a selection of various things including potsticks, 3-cup chicken, and many others...all good. Would definitely go back when I have the chance. Overall size of the restaurant is not so... More

All the flavors were a bit disappointing. But the noodles themselves were good.
