This was a great place to eat. I visited mid afternoon and had a slight wait. I ordered the vegetarian burrito which came with a side of refried beans and rice. The burrito was excellent as were the beans. I did not care for the rice, which is unusual for me. The chips and salsa were perhaps the best I... More

Although I live downtown and rarely drive, on the weekends I will make the journey south just for this gem. Of San Diego is filled with great Mexican restaurants, but this one is in my top favorites. My favorite thing to order is their Caldo Tlapeno soup (chicken, avocado, chickpeas, veggies, rice, chipotle pepper). A small bowl is plenty for... More

I tried the Quesadilla Gold with mushrooms and cilantro. It was amazing! I heard the guava cheesecake is amazing, I didn't try it, but my friend said it is a MUST so I will be trying it SOON!

The Omelettes are delicious. You should try the Achiote and Espadana. Both of them delicious. Service very Fast.

We stopped for a late lunch here after shopping at the nearby clothing outlets. This lovely breakfast/lunch/dinner restaurant is not laden with “theme” as are so many American Mexican restaurants. The menu is a delightful has menu selections from different regions of Mexico such as the Cochinita Pibil platter from Yucatan. The restaurant is near the border and you will... More

Went here for lunch after taking a break from shopping at Las Americas. The place is kind of like a Mexican Denny's. Everything we ordered was very good along with some cold beer. Service was quick and efficient and we were on our way back to shopping.

If you are looking for good authentic Mexican food, look no further. This place is as close to being in Mexico as you can get. The food is wonderful. Try the Torta or the Sopes for real Mexico. Prices are not bad, very affordable for a family. We go there so often they just know us and almost order for... More

This is authentic Mexican food with the original flavors. All the plates in the menu are served with vast amounts of food. The beef tongue, Menudo, chile relleno are awesome. If you like "cafe de olla" (sweet coffee) this is the place. Be prepared for an excellent meal.

BAD SERVICE!!! Been going there for many years and it's been several times already that we have gotten bad service but nothing like today. Today was to the point that I honestly think I won't be back, to the point that I left ZERO for the tip. The server Jose Luis had a F'd up attitude and really rude. It... More
