This is just the cool sort of place I imagine Santa Barbara to be. It's a small, quaint restaurant but not stodgy at all. A young crowd, great menu but, while expensive, not outrageous. Service and cuisine both excellent and an killer wine list.

This restaurant was recommended to me by my son. He hit a home run with my friends and me! This is a MUST go if you are in the Santa Barbara area. Reservations are a must, as this is a small restaurant. Between the 6 of us, we tried most of the menu. Every single dish was out of this... More

Julienne closes tomorrow and it was happy sad to have a last dinner there last night. It has been a very favorite for years. There is really very little reason to give a detailed review, other than to say, go one more time if you can. Make a last memory there; it is worth it. Also, so great they are... More

The chef did an amazing job of combining familiar flavors to create an unexpected result. Be sure to try the stone fruit salad, a one-of-a-kind delight that mixes cilantro, stone fruits, cherry tomatoes, and onions with a puree that's smooth, sweet, and spicy all at once. Delicious. We also enjoyed the cauliflower fritters, carrot salad, ravioli, and duck. Truly one... More

This was our second visit to the Julienne restaurant and, once again, found it to be delicious. The menu is unique. All ingredients are locally grown and fresh. This visit I had the melt-in-your-mouth ricotta ravoli with charred strawberries and my husband had the delicious local mussels in a wonderful sauce. Their foie gras appetizer was excellent. No dessert this... More

Julienne's menu is not for everyone. If you are a meat & potatoes, stick to the chains kind of person, find another restaurant. If you love food and relish the adventure of exploring new tastes, you will love Julienne. Chef West creates dishes with unusual pairings that result in flavors exploding in your mouth. Don't miss the extraordinary grilled octopus... More

My husband and I, with our two best friends, chose Julienne to celebrate our anniversary. Pleasant ambiance and decor, and interesting choice of dishes. Salads and appetizers were very good. Two of us had duck as our main course, and we both loved it! The other two had halibut, and both were quite disappointed: overcooked, much too dry, it would... More

Julienne wa recommended. However, for probably the first time ever, our group of 5 found ourselves looking at a menu that was somewhat challenging! Could we find something that excited us...sorry but no! For us, the "American/French" menus didn't work. Very unusual but I can see others havingg a similar problem....it just did not work. We made our excuses and... More

Quaint and Delicious. When looking for places to eat, for a girls weekend getaway, I went strictly off of reviews on trip advisor, as I always do, this is why I feel the need to review to help others. With that being said, this restaurant was AMAZING! Service, food and wine all get an A+ from me. Our server was... More

Do yourself a favor and make this a place to eat at in Santa Barbara. Next to The Lark this is the other top place to eat.
