After a beautiful hike in the Santa Barbara mountains, a shower, followed by a delicious cappuccino, complete with barista foam art, it was the beginning of a perfect Saturday morning. French Press is a lively, energetic, friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The WiFi is excellent. Plentiful indoor and outdoor seating, and directly across from the wonderful Saturday morning farmers market here in... More

Went in here because it looked very nice and my style of cafe from the outside. Had my first ever chai latte from here and it had me hooked from that moment. The art on each coffee/latte was cute and came back here multiple times during my stay.

Got off the cruise ship in Santa Barbara for the day to walk about and have a look around and stumbled upon this place while looking for something else. It was busy so I took my order to go. Nice coffee and croissants here so I understand why it was so busy. Enjoy!

Had my traditional almond milk macchiato which I get anywhere I go. If they make it right, I trust them. The French Press passed with flying colours.

I've spent already time in many coffee shops, but this is the best in Santa Barbara. They have a really good choice of coffee, cappuccino etc. including a lot of snacks and cakes. The stuff is very friendly with great service, I spent already hours in this shop and it's very comfy.

The cappuccino was great. I purchased two pastries to share with my husband later in the day. Well, I ate most of the cranberry ricotta puff pastry because it was delicious! The apple pastry was also yummy. A bit pricey for the pastries, but worth it.

It's the best that we tried and I will admit that we didn't try everywhere. Cool atmosphere and it can get busy in there. Will definitely visit again.

What a terrific little coffee shop. Get the cold brew on a hot day, its amazing. Their other offerings are also excellent. After the first visit, I had to keep going back. Service was outstanding, and the scene was pleasant. Everyone was so friendly.

Once we'd had coffee here we kept coming back. They do good iced coffees if that's your thing, they do good european style 'strong' cappuccinos and their decaffeinated is as flavoursome as any 'regular' style coffee, plus they do all the expected longer coffee drinks etc. My wife declared the banana bread (it comes as a miniature loaf) the best... Right on State Street where chain stores abound is this little character of a coffee house with exceptional coffees. If you want local and you want coffee done right... here is your chance.
