The food is good but not great, service is good but not great and the atmosphere is more a chain restaurant than a local. We enjoyed dinner there but don't think we will choose it again.

The hardest thing is finding the parking lot. You can park about a block away then traverse a foot path by the highway. Or you can go past the restaurant , not turn into the train station, meander through various streets and finally, if you...More

This place is dependable for a very good seafood experience. It can get loud, so it is good to dine early and/or eat away from bar area if you want to have audible conversations at dinner. Terrific salads, terrific rice pilaf, fish portions are healthy....More

I have no idea, but the food is middling to bland, very boring, the service is not good. I will never go back there anyway! (and if what you say is true, that is despicable!)

They open at 11:30am - you can make reservations on Open Table if you wish. You can bring up more info on their web site, i.e., menu, etc.

Description
Just a few blocks from the waterfront, our restaurant in Santa Barbara operates in a century-old brick building originally home to an industrial linen service for seaside hotels. While the Douglas fir floors, soaring ceilings, and glassed cupola have always been features of this historic structure, the sweeping arches facing State Street were added after much of the building crumbled during the 1925 Santa Barbara earthquake. Built in 1917, the historic building now home to our Santa Monica restaurant was once a transfer station for the narrow-gauge Red Car line, Los Angeles' first mass transit system. It was later the repair house for the world-famous Pacific Ocean Park, home to the oldest wooden roller coaster west of the Mississippi. These days, we're still a stone's throw from Venice Beach, heart of where L.A. goes to play -- and eat.
