The food is tasty and drinks are equally well prepared, but it's gotten to feel old and needs a refurbishing....a modernizing up. Especially the bathrooms in the building. They always stink and I try not to have to use them. The best special is on Tuesday night. They serve spaghetti with meat sauce for $6!!! you can add a meatball... More

Sadly, this wonderful restaurant stopped doing weekday lunch, so I won't be returning as I cannot drive at night. But, if you are in the area looking for a good Italian meal at reasonable prices, you can definitely go here! A beautiful dining area in a section with full windows really adds to the warm ambience. The wait staff is... More

Nice restaurant with a classy and relaxing feeling in a characteristic building. I had great ravioli filled with mushroom and a sort of chocolate fudge cake with a cinnamon hint. They have daily specials that allow you to order one or more dishes for half the price, otherwise is not cheap but still worth it

I ordered chicken marsala and received chicken piccata. I told the waitress that I ordered marsala not piccata. She apologized and stated that the marsala would be out in 5 minutes. It took 20 minutes. But, the entree was considerably smaller (about half the size). Fortunately, I ate a portion of my wife's chicken parmigiana which was quite good. Although... More

Historic Dominican Hospital Building transformed. We dined and reminisced of days gone by. We have a lot of family history in that building. Superb service, excellent & fabulous dining and history.

We walked up the hill to this restaurant, and we were surprised by the coziness of the place. Food was above average. Enjoyed the salmon and found it very fresh.

Had dinner & drinks there tonight. It was excellent. Waitress Star was a star! She was very helpful and accommodating. We actually sat at the bar and ate. The bartender was also very nice, although I forgot his name, young man. The fried artichoke appetizer is the ultimate appetizer...yummy and not greasy at all. We also had garlic bread and... More

Restaurante Italiano has been one of our favorite restaurants in Santa Cruz since it was in Soquel. We hadn't been there in a year and recently had dinner there when our son was visiting from Hawaii. We were surprised to find that they changed their menu. They have made the soup or salad optional and charge $3 or $4 more,... More

Eggplant is like homemade and served with veggies, good lunch. Baked potato dessert is to die for enough for 4 guests. Pesto is my favorite. Everything here is good

I would probably look elsewhere for Italian. Only average quality and poor service. Maybe we dined on a bad night.
