This is located in the miramar hotel, beautiful views, good food and good coffee! If you sit by the windows it overlooks the pool. Friendly staff.

The first clue that this is a great last afternoon option: you would be wise to make reservations for Happy Hour, especially if you want a table outside to watch the sun set. We were not guests in the busy hotel, but that was no problem whatsoever. Yes, you can actually have a great (bargain) experience in California! Half-priced drinks... More

Got together with some local friends who suggested Fig. Pleasant setting with good and unobtrusive service. Enjoyed the roasted tomato soup, roasted mushroom salad, and prosciutto pizza. Best thing is that they didn't rush us and let us enjoy a long, wonderful lunch with good food, old friends, with no attempt to rush us out.

Two of us both had the lamb shank - quite good with interesting side garnish. I thought it wanted a little salt. Clams app - only so so. Warm almond cake for dessert, again quite good, and rather refined. Validated valet still a charge (had a dink after at Bungalow). Not the best, but worth a visit

We've been several times and have had amazing food, stellar drinks and warm, attentive service. The octopus is some of the best we've had. The halloumi salad is wonderful and the charcuterie and cheese never disappoint. Drinks are really fun and the happy hour can't be beat. Raul has been our server several times and he's the best. Always attentive,... More

The Bread Ballon is worth a couple of orders and the lamb shank is mighty fine. Tables seemto be set a bit to closely for comfort and private conversation. Service was good,

We have been there twice and we like it. If you look for an avant-guarde restaurant that will surprise you this is not the place. But it is convenient ($5.50 valet with validation), the food is good, and the atmosphere is very nice. We liked the hanging plants from the roof and the view of the pool outside. We got... More

I have eaten at the Fig several times, and it continues to be disappointing. It is not that bad, but not nearly what should be found at a Fairmont Hotel. The experience is similar to going to a steak house and getting a Denny's meal.

The wood fired oven is wonderful and the menu really good. Our dinner on a Friday night had very good service. Our breakfast the following morning was very tasty but service was spotty.

I always walk here to have breakfast from my hotel in Santa Monica. I love the staff, the menu, the coffee, the ambiance. I have eaten there many times and am never disappointed.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
