I've had pizzza everywhere, so have you. This is real close to New Yawk City. The crust is well done but not burnt or chewy, and is consistent throughout the whole pie; no burnt edges. Toppings are fresh, also. Takes a while after you order because it is cooked with care. Order up front, brought to your table by a... More

You can choose New York style or Chicago style pizza. We opted for New York Style but we're sorry when we caught a glimpse of a deep dish Chicago style pizza going to a different table. Our pizza was passable. Definitely better than the other pizza place we tried in Santa Monica. Next time deep dish for sure. The mozzarella... More

Wish I could give it better marks. The pizza is quite tasty but the service is 'sad clown'. They are never really nice. Also the cleanliness seems lacking for the eat in. Hard to pin down why I am not super comfortable here.

If you ever have a pizza craving at 2AM then this is the place. Friendly staff, good beer selection on tap or in bottles and a sometimes boisterous inebriated crowd.

The pizza to my gathering comes ready too cook at the store, it is not the worst pizza i had, they do have football games on, I just do not understand why the place is so dirty, the walls thick with dust and dirt, the cables that are holding the lights that are above the tables are coated with grease... We wandered into NY&C Pizza strolling down Wilshire one day. The logo was kinda cool on the door, and the atmosphere itself was fun inside. It seemed fairly authentic. There was a great server there who chatted with us. We ordered a couple specials. Figured, can't go wrong! But the pizza was downright DISGUSTING. Not just disgusting, inedible. Something a... More

Try the happy hour for pitchers of a whole range of beers M-F 3pm to 8 pm $11. Pizza by the slice and great (big) salads. Pizza in my opinion is the best in L.A. -big slices served in a matter of minutes. Half of the restaurant displays NY memorabilia and the other half comes from Chicago. Friendly efficient staff.

Yelp tells me I've been here at least twice now, which sounds about right. From what I remember, I've been here once for a friends' birthday and once (more recently) after a night out in SM. Legend has it this place stays open until 4am, so you can imagine how crowded it gets on a weekend at 2 in the... More

In brief: very good thin-crust pizza though a little pricey. Located on a busy strip of Wilshire Blvd. in Santa Monica, NY&C tries to recreate the feeling of Manhattan with its decor. The interior is spacious with a bit of Italian deli-subway feel. Around 7:30pm on a Monday night, it was about 1/3rd full with people who were obviously enjoying... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
