It felt very "California pretentious," if you know what I mean, when we walked in, but they are super nice and seated us at a great table. We had an arugula salad with fried capers and an anchovy vinaigrette, gnocchi in lemon cream and a wild mushroom pizza. Everything was absolutely delicious and I would recommend them to anyone. Only... More

Great food. I've tried most of it and it's all well presented and uniquely prepared. The oatmeal cookies are my favorite of all time. Eat one cookie and you will crave another soon afterwards. I would eat here once a week its that good.

I went here twice on my recent trip to Santa Monica. I went in and ordered a pizza to take back to my room. I enjoyed it, but like most "artisan" style pizza, it's all crust and no toppings. The taste was great, the crust was cooked perfect, but it just didn't wow me. I don't mind having a pizza... More

Since my last visit to Los Angeles, Milo and Olive has expanded (size-wise) and can now welcome more diners than before! The food is just as wonderful...if you are on the west-side, a great place for lunch, dinner, or breads...etc.

I've been here twice and plan on gong back again and again. The brussel sprouts are to die for and the potato pizza delicious! This time around we also had the sweet potato gnocchi (melts in your mouth!) and the garlic knot. Would have ordered more food but our tummies were full! Menu changes a bit due to the seasonality... Milo and Olive is a bakery/pizzeria with some excellent other dishes to round out a menu. Noisy, and it doesn't take reservations, but the quality is good. Parking's easy in this part of town.

Just like it's sister restaurants (Rustic Canyon and Huckleberry), this pizzeria is top notch when it comes to serving up tasty dishes. The wood fired pizzas all have big fluffy/crispy crust and are topped with fresh market ingredients like "Pork Belly Sausage & Kale" and "Burrata & Prosciutto Di Parma". The brunch menu is also worth checking out, and ever... More

We got several items as take-away. Excellent pizza, garlic knot, bolognese and salads. Everything we got was excellent! We'll be back next time we visit.

After eating here on a monthly basis over five years, I finally feel qualified to offer this review. Compared to Huckleberry, Rustic Canyon, and Cassia, this is far and away the BEST of the group. My usual order has been the Creamy Polenta with eggs scrambled. If you like poached, then by all means enjoy as chef intended. Bonus points... More

Had been recommended to try this restaurant while staying with friends in Santa Monica. Basically pizzas plus a few specials. Our two pizzas were very expensive at £20 each, and poor in quality with poor fillings.Wine also very expensive for very average wines. In the end a cost of $160 for 2 people, and wished we had not bothered.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
