While in vacation in LA, my Scottish husband convinced me to go to this pub for lunch because he was craving some British food. The pub was busy and the waiter was very friendly and helpful with suggestions from the menu. He got some traditional sausage and mashed potatoes and for his surprise - he tried other British pubs that... More

Quiet afternoon drinks , well priced, and good bar service. What more could you want? Met some of the locals who were all chatty and pleasant, and clearly like Australians.

But they have a full menu all day if your internal clock is off. Good fish and chips. Even have a happy hour portion. Lots of domestic and imported beers. Indoor and outdoor seating. Quick service. Sports on TV including European sports.

We stopped in to quench our thirst on an unusually hot October day. Good selection of beers with the bartender offering a "taste" of each one we inquired about. There were 2 people working and each offered enjoyable conversation about the Santa Monica area.

Dropped in here today for a pint before checking in to our hotel. Ordered a pint of Stella and a glass on white wine. Got stung for 14.25 dollars, but I got served regular Miller lite instead of Stella! I drink Stella all the time and knew I had been slipped a Mickey while I wasn't looking. I shan't be... More

Stopped for a drink one afternoon. Friendly service - so much so we went back on an evening. The place was busy, both inside & on the patio outside - there was different staff but the same friendly service! Worth a visit if you're in Santa Monica

We went on a Thursday night, so I didn't expect there to be a large crowd by any means, but it was QUIET. Maybe 9 people in the whole place - but the Beatles cover band that was playing made up for it ALL. My boyfriend and I enjoyed watching the few people there dancing and the band was great.... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
