We had sushi here for dinner and it was delicious. We also had the sesame chicken salad and it was very tasty. I should also note that they did not skimp on the chicken within the salad. If you order the sushi, we highly recommend the yellowtail. The waiter was also very attentive and pleasant. So if you are in... More

This restaurant has amazing sushi rolls and bonita boxes. If your with people who don't like sushi they too can have an amazing meal. My favorite is the rice cakes with spicy tuna.

Excellent and consistent food and fairly fast service. The only draw back is that it is dark inside which is not always ideal for a bright sunny day. I go back over and over for the food.

The outside of this restaurant looks uninviting but the food was exceptional, so fresh. We really enjoyed our meals.

Friendly & helpful service. Dish recommendation: chirashi sushi. Only downside was that salmon had a bit more fat that usual.

I've been to Noma a few times and have enjoyed each and every visit. It's a casual, convenient neighborhood restaurant that hits the spot. Onsite parking is free, but is limited and can be tricky. There's also metered street parking, or you can walk up the block and park gratis. No valet is available. The service has always been good,... More

Enjoyed the miso soup, cucumber salad, and baked black cod; other people liked the udon and tempura, sushi, tofu salad, tempura and sushi. Good beer and service.

We went for a late lunch on Mothers Day. The restaurant was fine. Service okay. Nothing about the place stood out as above average to me. Spicy tuna over crispy rice and Shrimp /vegetable tempura were adequate. I would go there again if convenient, but would not plan an evening around it.

I have been to Noma many times over the years. Excellent sushi, but a bit overpriced. The blue crab hand roll was excellent. They forgot to bring my soup starter, but the quality of the sushi made up for it. Would return.

This is a family-owned restaurant with the same menu for decades. The parking lot is small, but there is valet parking on weekend evenings. If you like traditional Japanese cuisine, this is the place to go. Crispy cucumber salad, simple miso soup which isn't too salty, clean and fresh sushi. The udon soup bowls are huge, enough to share for... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
