The choices and the quality of the food was good. I had a New York strip (ordered medium) with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. I got my steak well done, but never got a chance to tell staff that was not as ordered and over done. Secondly, the waitress preferred the guests next to us in offering better service, such... More

This steakhouse is situated right in the busiest parts of Santa Monica and I would avoid it at all costs because it's a tourist trap!!!! I came here for a birthday party on a Friday evening and had a few drinks at the bar before the party arrived. Ordered a Johnnie Walker black on the rocks knowing that it'll probably... More

Quick review Great if you want to push the boat out This is in the main a steak house and the menu reflects this. Set on the ocean front but it isn't a particularly great setting as the road in front is constantly congested with traffic, as is the pavement with people constantly passing. We ate in. I had French... More

We went here for lunch on our last day, Have to admit we probably ordered a little to much as we had problems eating it all, starters we had onion soup and green lentil with bacon soup and it was lovely, main meal I opted for the 14oz Ribeye with sweet potato fries and the wife wasn't sure what she... Visit here every time in Santa Monica- Just one of our staples. The reservation process is right on track. They call to confirm and make you feel special when you arrive. Sitting outside is a real treat- Our waiter was very tall AND very pleasant- Best we have had over the years- Chris...shout out to you for making our night... More

Boa is always a good idea. The Chilean sea bass was wonderful as was the steak of course. There's this honey goat cheese baklava appetizer that is crazy good. So fresh and yummy!

We needed lunch right quick after a long walk from Venice Beach and visit to Santa Monica Pier and happened upon this place by accident. What a nice surprise! I am used to overpriced, crappy food from beachfront restos, (certainly the norm in my hometown of Vancouver, BC) but this food was cheaper than home, and delicious! The waiter was... More

We visited for a lunch on a Saturday. We did not have the steaks that they are renowned for but opted for burgers and salads and a dessert. All were excellent and very well presented. Price was not over the top and the service was excellent. They had a large party of over 50 booked in but we were still... More

I went to Boa for a business dinner in March 2015. The service was highly (overly?) attentive, and the waitress clearly had tasted every item on the menu as well as knowing the wine list quite well. The food is quite good - my filet mignon was cooked to perfection, although the green vegetables (spinach, brocollini, asparagus) were all overcooked... More

The food is mostly steaks and seafood, but very good. The prices are high for entrees anywhere from 39 dollars and up. I would say try but is seems high go at happy hour! Enjoy but go to the pier when in the area.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
