this is an indian/nepali food place strictly for those of non indian/nepali origin. the food took 1 hour to arrive. the quantity is very limited - not worth the money there were only two people managing the guests service needs to improve drastically food taste was very average but apparently, it seems to work with many westerners who were flocking... We were a party of 4 who all enjoyed our various selections from this restaurant. Good choice of dishes and interesting specials separately listed. Super friendly and helpful service made this a very enjoyable evening meal.

T&his is one of the est restaurants I have ever eaten at -- it has menue chouces that include old stand-bys in Indian food, but also has unique dishes I have not seen elsewhere with wonderful seasonings.

We were staying in San Rafael and discovered Taste of the Himalayas on Groupon. Nestled along a scenic street sits this cozy restaurant. It's a charming place with a warm and inviting atmosphere. When ordering, the waitress asked how spicy we wanted our dishes to be. To be honest, "spicy" in some restaurants do not live up to the expected... More

The whole family loved this place! Friendly/patient wait staff explained the dishes and were spot on with their recommendations. Not for the "I don't like..." and "I only like.." picky eaters, so leave them home. Don't they just ruin meals anyways? Try something new like the pistachio dessert or some of their meat dishes. Definitely interesting and the kids LOVED... More

This restaurant is on the north end of Bridgeway, a mile or two from downtown Sausalito – a long walk, or a short drive. There is plentiful parking behind the building, accessed by a side-alley or, more easily, off the side-street to the south. This is an unassuming, casual restaurant with a dark woodsy interior of wooden chairs and tables,... More

We shared a dinner with four people and shared the small sampled dishes around, so that we each got a little taste over rice. It was very filling and great spices!
