A great place for breakfast. Finally, a chef who can fry bacon and eggs. Friendly staff. The owner (Barb) will sometimes drop by for a chat.

The people are nice and the food is good. Portions are generous. I would say 50’s schtick, but in this case it hasn’t been updated since the 50’s. So it’s interesting. Original 50’s in a roadside restaurant. Lunch for two $26.00. Also there is a gas station.

loved the food here. Coffee was great and their meat omlette was awesome! Definately a place I always go when I am in the area.

When you first stop at this place, it looks like a bit of a train wreck. Chaotic, messy, a bit dirty. But the food here is great. Fabulous home made bread. Old school 1960s diner sandwiches. Friendly. An experience you don;t get often any more.

Stopped in to try to use washroom and possibly have lunch. We actually walked right out and relieved ourselves at the side of the road because it seemed cleaner to do so. 😬

We stopped here for lunch on a cycling trip. I ordered the daily special beef stew. When it arrived, it was so salty I couldn't eat it. I sent it back and didn't order anything else. When we left, they charged me "only" half price for it. I was surprised that there was any charge, but didn't challenge the charge. I would never go there again.

I gave the hostess a ribbing and she gave one back. Informed us that 20 mins. earlier we wouldn't have got a seat so we were lucky. Found the Spanish rice a little lacking but the rest was awesome. Hot coffee and lots of pie. Not cheap fair but not expensive either. Give their specials a try.

My Husband and I just had a wonderful hot hamburger sandwich with vegetables and a generous serving of home made mashed potatoes ...we just pulled of the highway and it was located right around corner of turnoff.
Rick, I assume to be the owner, was very friendly and his wife works with him to prepare the food. With little room to spare.. my husband could not resist the homemade coconut cream pie and a generous portion at that! Myself I overheard he had just finished making buttermilk donuts...well I could not resist the temptation and had one.... brought me back to the days when my Grandmother.. now long gone ...used to fill a crock with them... this donut was like trip down memory lane.
Place isn’t fancy.. but the good food and friendly atmosphere is what we look for... and for those who wonder and don’t like to ask... washrooms are super clean.

My husband got off the hwy as we needed gas & washroom facilities for 5 of us. Don’t even waste your time getting off at this exit if you don’t have to. Sign on the door said washrooms unavailable. I walked in & asked if this was true as I have 3 seniors that have travelled for 3-4 hrs. I asked where is the closest washroom? She said 30 Kms down the road. My sister in law went in to question as well & the woman said OH I didn’t know you people were buying gas! Are you kidding? Why didn’t she ask me?

.We pulled of the hwy as we needed gas and a restroom. My wife said that she had the best toasted western sandwich here that she has ever had in her life. I had a good BLT, so we were too full to try their pies which I see are a specialty.

The breakfasts at Turners is SO good, they offer homemade bread of different kinds. We go many times during the summer and bring others with us too for some of the best food. The pies are to die for. Hot turkey sandwiches with awesome gravy. The restaurant itself is quite small but definitely worth giving it a try. The staff is very friendly, efficient, and fast.
