Probably the worst pub lunch we have ever had. It appeared as if l had canned macaroni cheese with crab thrown over the top. He had chips (maybe a dozen), some dry scampi and chips. Expensive and tasteless. No cutlery or serviettes provided, contemplated eating...More

Caught the miniature steam train to Dungeness and went for lunch at the Britannia. We just had fish and chips which was absolutely fine. I know some people have been a bit sniffy about the food and service but we had no such problems. I...More

Tried the Britannia again, hoping for the best. Unfortunately very mediocre, refurb showing signs of wear already, seating stained. Our glasses were not clean. Menu photocopied sheets that were dirty and stained. Haddock poorly cooked, one side so thin it was hard and not nice....More

Overpriced below par food with kid size portions. Staff don't have a clue. No proper menus, just printed on dirty pieces of paper. Toilets look like they are checked once a week.

We have visited here many times before in previous years but today’s visit put us off returning again. We stopped here for a late lunch, so it didn’t seem overly busy. The tables were dirty, many items on the menu were unavailable (but no notice...More

Description
Britannia Inn is "The Only Pub in Dungeness"! We are located in between two lighthouses in Dungeness and at the heart of Dungeness estates. It's a few minutes walk from "Dungeness Train station" of Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway. If you drive, please follow the Dungeness Road, you will see a "Dungeness Borough" sign on the left before the white gate which is the entrance of Dungeness. Keep driving for a mile and pass the new light house on your left and we are just beyond.
